What Aaron B. said above is true. It takes time to determine the business value and then justification to on-board resources to develop and use the knowledge graphs. So initially it's mostly a mix of small in-house team and then consultants to cover the gaps to show the value of knowledge graphs and to build the business justification to scale out.

At Schneider Electric we have used knowledge graphs for offers targeting smart buildings like workplace advisor. You can find more details in the attached image and in this file. There are other works-in-progress in the industrial process and control domain but they will take time to mature.

In France, CIFRE is usually for non-employees. Students are hired on a fixed term contract (for 3 years) and may or may not get the job offer from the same company. CIFRE PhDs are only for 3 years which is different from a typical PhD that would last 4 to 5 years elsewhere.

Hi Goh Kian Leng, your project should identify the stakeholders and target their needs. I have learned over the years that it is important to start with a crisp and clear business problem(s) and to identify the stakeholders of that problem and their expectations. Sometimes, you might have to bring down their expectations but that's ok. This way you will end up with a list of items to address in your work that you can prioritize (narrow down the scope of work) and then take step-by-step approach to solve them. Keep your stakeholders in the loop for priority change or new ideas. This way you can avoid being stuck with a project with no end in sight.
