There's so many use cases for ontologies, I would simply say that as a blanket claim this is just wrong. Of course I can imagine use case scenarios where it makes sense.
With my formal ontology hat on, i'm available for direct hire at this link (consulting, ontology dev., curation, talks, etc.), but in general job-seeking for regular employment.
