How have they been applied/used in practice? Fraud detection, customer 360, corporate intelligence, recommendations, what others have you seen?

At Schneider Electric we have used knowledge graphs for offers targeting smart buildings like workplace advisor. You can find more details in the attached image and in this file. There are other works-in-progress in the industrial process and control domain but they will take time to mature.
