Thanks to all who replied to the Doodle! Friday at 10:00 am EST was the clear winner, so that's the plan going forward. We'll start the new schedule beginning next week, Friday February 17, with a get-acquainted meeting and then begin the presentation-discussion cadence the following week. Hi Anne T., we will have a Zoom link ready soon along with the corresponding Google calendar invite. I will probably have group of people and add them to a shared google calendar. Just need some time have this ready. Stay tuned 😉

It might make sense to invite us all to join a calendar for the event and keep that link pinned. That way people can opt in or out and all you have to do is maintain the calendar.

Clicking on the Google Calendar event opened my Google calendar but it could not find/insert the event.

yep... that is what I thought ... I need your email addresses to add you to the calendar. I only have the addresses of next BC attendees. The others can send me their email on Slack or put them in this thread

I received an invitation to add the calendar to my Google calendar app. I do not want to add the calendar ( and I don’t think others do either). We just want to receive an invitation to the specific calendar event series. Matthias S. If you are the Google calendar event organizer, click to open the event. In the second column under “Guests,” there is a blank space to Add guests. Enter in the email addresses of the participants here. If their email addresses are in your Gmail account, then you can simply search and add them. Otherwise, type in the email address.

I think we all manage calendars differently. I have the event on mine and while the time isn't ideal for me I hope to see everyone there on occasion! Thanks for setting up Matthias S. 🙏

Heather H. I made a calendar specifically for this event series "KGC ontology talks" (there should be only one event next week). I believe I did exactly what you suggest. If you add this calendar you will only add this specific event series, not all KGC events. For instance this calendar should not include the BC series of events. Let me know if it is the case.

Matthias S. if I understood correctly, you are the one who is sending the invites? I believe I did add my email to the doodle. If not, I'll PM it to you. Can you confirm if you have it or not?

Hi Katariina K. you got it tight 🙂 Though I have added the persons on a one by one basis as they were sending me their email addresses. I haven't checked the moodle to find the emails. Maybe I should. If you send me your email address I will add you right away to the Google Clalendar.
