Hi Amr, I just had a quick look at the pyRDF2Vec code, and it seems you would want to loop over KG._entities instead of the KG object itself. As the error shows, the object representation itself is not an iterable.

Yes-ish. I'm watching all of the HPI KG/rdf-related content in my free time step by step. As I am mostly working in the "NLP meets KG"-domain with a LPG-DB, I feel this is time well spent to skill up across the whole knowledge engineering domain. I'm not sure whether I'd be a good match for sparring, but I'd definitely be interested in discussing the topic with others.

Donny was likely referring to what a blank-node is often used as in RDF/OWL modeling.

Hey Katariina, I'm an economist (by training) who works on KGs. I guess, though, that you are referring to economics-related topics? If it helps, although I'm not working in that domain, I'd still offer you my feedback/input, as I am still quite involved with research in economics in my free time.

Junior Data Scientist/ML Engineer Position Open in Germany

Hey everybody, I'm extending my team with a junior data scientist/ML engineer. We are building a knowledge graph in the HR domain (and then we'll extend it to a few other ones .. if our results are convincing enough πŸ˜… ). If you are eligible for a working permit in Germany, hit me up. There's only two/three things I am looking for: likes abstract stuff esp. graphs, likes to code in Python (and wants to learn more stuff from the AI/ML domain), is willing to relocate & learn German. We are a tightly knit and diverse team which works on the grounds of close interaction. Yes it's on site work, which may sound old fashioned these times, but as we learn and grow together .. the last two years tell me that nothing beats actual interaction face to face. If you want to get a foot in the door of the whole data science/ML/knowledge graph thing --> send your details to johannes.tiemer@11880.com (me) and nadine.brodowski@11880.com (HR) we'm looking forward to it πŸ™‚ (Of course, don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have) This is the full text of the posting:

  • Title: Junior Machine Learning Engineer/Junior Data Scientist (m/w/d)

  • Your Role - This is what you'll do

  • As member of Team Data Science you'll become an expert for the whole breadth of data science in the company––From tiny maintenance and ad-hoc tasks all the way up to designing and implementing whole applications end-to-end

  • Depending on the task at hand you'll work by yourself or with the whole team. You'll present and discuss your work and your ideas with your coworkers giving and receiving feedback. This enables us to mutually teach, learn and develop together.

  • Together with the team you'll design, deploy and monitor our applications on the AWS cloud

  • You'll be instrumental in building, developing and maintaining high performing natural language processing and machine/deep learning solutions

  • Why join 11880.com?

  • We are more than just a "certified top employer". We are a community of people who went through thick and thin together! We stick together and we leave no one behind. New coworkers are welcomed in our midst and receive intensive and extensive training to bring you up to speed. Here, everybody is a person first and foremost. We respect and listen to your opinion regardless whether you are a manager with decades of experience or an apprentice who just joined our ranks. We are a diverse bunch and we're proud of it. We need all of our expertise to perform at our best together. Expect a brand with a high recognition across Germany, exciting products and technology and a team hungry for more!

  • These are the skills we'd like you to bring along!

  • You finished college with a Bachelors or Masters degree which contained statistics, quantitative methods and object oriented programming

  • You are interested in quantitative methods and machine learning and have done some project work in this domain

  • Coding in Python is something you have done at least for some time already, ideally using common guidelines pertaining style and code structure

  • Connecting to a database and getting the data you need is something you have done before; bonus points if it was a NoSQL or even graph database, but SQL is cool too

  • You know what natural language processing is and have heard of spaCy and huggingface transformers

  • You want to know more (a lot more) about semantic search and knowledge graphs

  • Thinking of algorithms, complex structures and system makes you smile rather than stress out

  • If your friends were asked to name a quick thinker with a knack for abstraction, they'd name you first

  • This is (part of) what we're offering

  • Welcome Box

  • Top notch mentoring & onboarding

  • Flexible working hours

  • The option to work from home

  • Subsidies for a current gen bicycle

  • Teamwork culture that's worth it's name

  • Place to unfold and hone your skills … there's no better place to kickstart your career!

  • Inhouse canteen w/ fair prices

  • Sports offering

  • We don't just want your work, we want you to grow … which includes learning and specializing! (e.g. Data Science, MLOps, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, …)
