Exploring Grakn for Knowledge Graphs and Capability Analysis

Thank you Phil T.. This is a good introduction for me. I am thinking of using Grakn for this and building a knowledge graph based on the OMG group’s VDML and SMM models. This is all still gut feel stuff since I have little experience with this. Still, conceptually, it looks like a viable option if I want to build a system for capability analysis and the best “route” for value creation. My question was whether I could start modelling a schema straight from the OMG model or whether I have to do a p.hd in ontology first before I attempted that. Your picture however helped me see how the elements fit together. Thats great!

Exploring Knowledge Graphs and Ontologies: A Beginner's Inquiry

Hi everyone, I am a noob to this field and after reading up about it, I am intrigued about the possibilities with knowledge graphs (and also its on the beginning hype cycle with Gartner). I was wondering, since I am seeing a lot of questions around ontologies, whether a meta-model can be used as an ontology, like the ones found on the OMG group. I see there are other business analysts/architects here Veronika Haderlein-Høgberg, that also want to solve business issues.
