Masters Student Seeking Knowledge Graph Internship Opportunities
Hello community, I am a Masters student at the University of Southern California pursuing my majors in Data Science. I will be graduating from school in May and am open for job or research internship opportunities in the field of Knowledge Graphs. Prior Experience: Presently, I work as a Research Assistant at the Information Sciences Institute along with Prof. Pedro Szekely where we are working on a developing a Knowledge Graph for Drugs. In the project, I completed a pipeline of generating triples aligned to wikidata schema and automatic loading of rdf triples to a Wikibase Blazegraph database. Currently, my work is around developing a candidate generation algorithm for linking entities in a table to wikidata. I interned at Novartis during the summer where I worked on parsing bioportal ontologies, linking entities to wikidata and loading the triples to satellite wikibase infrastructure. I have also been a part of a project which aimed at building a KG for public and private businesses where I worked on 2 sub projects a) Wrote a web crawler to extract acquisition announcements made by companies from their websites. b) Wrote a relation extractor to extract the target and acquirer company from the extracted text. I would love to have a chat regarding potential KG related opportunities. You can contact me here at slack or email me at rvohra@usc.edu
